There was a time in my life (7 days ago) where I couldn’t get anything done without having my oat milk latte first thing in the morning. Literally as soon as I woke up, coffee would be on my mind. Can you relate? Well, keep reading as I’m sharing how I managed to ditch my addictive habit for good, have more energy than ever before and found a far better replacement…
In the beginning, it wasn’t THAT easy to let go. But that’s because I was really a coffee addict. I felt lethargic, grumpy and tired when I didn’t have my coffee. Also, it felt like I had to keep increasing my coffee intake to get that caffeine rush as my body got used to it.
See what happened when I was challenged to go green for 7 whole days...

Yes definitely, my head feel so much clearer and even if I was to have a coffee now I would only have a decaf one.
The biggest thing I have noticed is my mood/energy levels have got so much better. Usually I have big highs and then huge crashes. I have had a busy week, however, my moods have seen the biggest improvement. Normally I am prone to really bad migraines so I was surprised I didn’t get one of those but the headaches at the start were quite intense but this was just my body ridding itself of the toxins that it is so reliant on from coffee!
My skin is definitely clearer, less dry and I have less darkness under my eyes. I think this is due to me drinking a lot more water and not relying on coffee or sugary snacks for energy hits.
My mood/energy levels. Sometimes when I drink loads of coffee I get quite a bit of anxiety, most probably as a result of the caffeine. This stopped altogether. The biggest learning is that I don’t need to rely on coffee! I am going to treat it as more of a luxury and something I can really sit down and enjoy on the weekend (decaf) but going forward, GREEN JUICE FOR THE WIN).
