How do fresh, cold-pressed juices last so long?
Ever wondered how our delicious, fresh, cold-pressed juices can last so long AND retain all the goodness with no added preservatives?
High pressure processing (HPP) allows gentle preservation of food & liquids by high pressure without additives or heat. To achieve this a pressure of 6,000 bar – which equals roughly the weight of three jumbo jets acting on a smartphone-sized area - is applied to the products.
How it works
1. Our juice is conveyed in special containers into a high-pressure vessel. It then moves into the machine and is filled with water
2. Pumps increase the pressure in the vessel, which is applied both immediately and evenly spread ensuring none of the nutrients are crushed but destroys all the pathogens the bacteria that make food spoil
3. Once finished the pressure is reduced and your juice has retained all the wonderful vitamins, nutrients, delicious flavour, a much longer shelf life and maximum product safety.
