Super Healthy, Easy To Make Ice Lolly Recipes

Lollipops, ice lollies, popsicles or ice pops.. it's all about the flavour! Check out these mouth-watering DIY lolly recipes by PRESS.

What Do We Mean, Healthy Ice Lollies?

There’s nothing like an ice cold, fruity popsicle to cool you down on a hot summers day. Whilst it's easy to buy one from your local supermarket, 9 times out of 10, they're high in sugar without an ounce of nutrient dense fresh fruit! At PRESS, we love a sweet treat and we've created ice lollies with our healthy juices that you can make for picnics, parties and for when you're simply craving that cooling indulgence. We've also included wholesome ingredients you can find at home, should you need to substitute and for those with special dietary requirements these lollies are also:

→ Dairy-Free

→ Vegan

→ Gluten-Free

→ Paleo Friendly

1. Classic orange

No summer is complete without at least one citrus lolly! We like ours with a little kick, in the form of cayenne pepper... you're going to have to trust us on this one. The pop is super rich in Vitamin C and is refreshing, sweet and tangy.

INGREDIENTS:

Citrus Glow - Orange, Lemon, Tangerine, Grapefruit, Turmeric, Cayenne, Black Pepper

METHOD:

  1. Pour sweet citrus into your popsicle mould. It's best to add in the stick when it's partly frozen so around 15 minutes.
(Alternatively: Squeeze fresh orange juice (about 3 oranges), with the juice of half a lemon, tangerine and grapefruit, add a pinch of cayenne and a crack of black pepper)
  2. Freeze for a further 15 minutes and there you go. Easy peasy citrus squeezy!

*Tip: If you’re feeling devilish, why not add a splash of alcohol to the mixture and turn them into icy cocktails on a stick? We know how to have fun too...

2. Triple Berry

The ultimate thirst quencher and the easiest to make at home. If you have water and a lemon you're practically half way there. All the top spas serve lemons in water (because it's sooo good for you) but do they freeze them into ice lollies? Nope.  Berries are just the best as they are a great source of vitamin C and antioxidants which both support the normal function of the immune system.

INGREDIENTS:

Lemon water

Triple berry smoothie- blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, banana, lime, coconut milk

METHOD:

  1. Pour the lemon water and triple berry smoothie to the mould! and add any berries you have at home, we used raspberries and blackberries but any will work.
(Alternatively: Add  a squeeze of lemon and lime to water and mix a drop of honey)
  2. Freeze for 30 minutes (don't forget to add the stick in after 15 minutes).
